Taman Negara: Heritage Of Malaysia

Taman Negara is oldest protected area in Malaysia, cover three reserved area, Taman Negara Pahang, Taman Negara Terengganu, Taman Negara Kelantan. This popular tourist spot has received millions of visitors since it was gazetted as a national park on 23 June 1939.

At present, the park covers an area of 434,351ha pr 4,343 sq km, with Taman Negara pahan making up 57 percent of the area, followed by Taman Negara Kelantan 24 percent and Taman Negara Terengganu 19 percent.

Bird watchers love to be here seems, this park diverse habitat has more than 400 bird species and about 3000 species of flowering plants. Besides that, there are 150 species of mammals such as gaur, elephant, Malayan tigers, Malayan tapir and leopard and also more than 100 of reptiles and 53 type of fish.






Located heart of peninsula, Taman Negara is considered as one of the oldest virgin tropical rainforest in the world and acts as a genetic bank for biodiversity resources.


Mutiara Taman Negara is the only resort in this protected area, reserve thousands of visitor yearly.

Things to do:


The activities that you can try out in Taman Negara:


  • shooting the rapids,
  • bird watching (both day and night bird watching)
  • wildlife observation from hides built around waterholes and salt licks
  • fishing (selected location only)
  • visit orang asli/aboriginal settlements
  • cave exploration (Gua Telinga, Gua Kepayang, and Gua Daun Menari)
  • waterfalls and jungle trekking (Warisan Hill, Teresek Hill)
  • canopy walkway (one of the world longest)

How to reach here:

There are numbers of travel agencies offer bus ride from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Tembeling Jetty. From there you need to get wooden boat rite to heart of Taman Negara. Some of the travel agencies provide this service as a package and the price usually about RM65-RM80.

The staging point for visits to the park is Kuala Tembeling, from which a 3-hour boat ride upriver takes you to Kuala Tahan at 9 am and 3 pm daily, except for Fridays when the afternoon departure is at 2.30 pm.

The 6th Putrajaya International Air Ballon Fiesta
From 27th – 30th March 2014 at Presin 2, Putrajaya.

What you can find here:

Putrajaya International Air Balloon show is one of best air balloon show in the South East Asia. As most of you know, Putrajaya known for well-organized government with great township and architecture.  Watching hot balloons in the air with this environment, sure will give ultimate experience to you.  The hot air balloon show will happen twice a day depend on weather condition.
Please take note that only first come 200 photographers with DSLR cameras will be allowed in the launching field. So please be early.

Night Glow Event


Night Glow event,  will be another must watched air balloon show here. Visitor will have opportunities to see hot air balloons being light up at the night sky of Putrajaya. Night Glow show scheduled for 29th March 2014 (Saturday).  Don’t forget your mosquitoes repellent and blanket when coming for night show..:)

New Olds : Design Between Tradition and Innovation

Sixty exhibits explore the relationship between traditions and innovation in contemporary design. Must see attractions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

1. Dataran Merdeka
It was here that the Union Flag was lowered and the Malaysia flag hoisted on the 100 m flag pole,  for the first time at midnight on 31st August 1957.

2. Dong Zen Monastery
This scenic Buddhist monastery is a 16 acre enclave of beautifully land scalped gardens and is testament to Malaysia's religious diversity.  During Chinese New Year,  more than two million devotees gather to see the temple lit up by thousands of lanterns.

3. Istana Negara
Istana Negara (Malay for National Palace) is the official residence of His Majesty, the Yang Dipertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia. The new palace features 22 majestic golden domes, two lit up beautifully at night.

5. Sri Maha Mariamman Temple
